I grew up in a family full of preachers, surrounded by sermons, church politics, and the power dynamics of religious structures from a young age. Even as a kid, I was watching how authority worked - who had it, who wielded it well, and what happened when they didn't.
This probably explains why I ended up in leadership at a young age. Teen leadership programs, music ministry, and eventually a youth pastor and music pastor in Katy, Texas. Besides that, to pay the bills I dabbled in luxury retail management for brands like Pottery Barn and Coach.
By the time I left to pursue astrology full-time, I'd trained over thirty leaders and served as Tapestry's Communications Pillar Leader on their global LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group.
When I found astrology, what struck me was the nuance. After years inside a black and white system, here was a framework that saw different expressions of humanity as equally divine. It gave me a language for self-discovery that nothing else had.
